What this site is
valteris.online is a small independent publication about consumer security software. It explains how the technology works, what the products actually include, what they cost over time rather than in the headline, and what rights you have as a consumer in the European Union.
It is funded by affiliate commission. That is stated at the top of every page, in the footer of every page, and in detail in the editorial policy. We would rather tell you that up front than have you discover it.
What this site is not
- Not a testing laboratory. We do not run controlled malware or performance tests. For measured results we point you to AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives.
- Not a vendor. We sell nothing, host no downloads and provide no software support. We cannot help with your subscription, your licence key or your refund — those are between you and the vendor.
- Not affiliated with any brand we write about. See the trademark statement in the footer.
- Not a news site. We publish reference and guidance material, not reporting.

How we treat you as a reader
Nothing is collected
No cookies, no analytics, no pixels, no browser storage, no third-party requests. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
No account, no wall
Everything is readable without signing up, without an email address and without a newsletter prompt.
No dark patterns
No countdown timers, no fake scarcity, no pop-ups, no exit-intent overlays, no interstitials.
Labelled commerce
Every commercial link is marked as one where you click it, not only in small print at the bottom.
Design and illustrations
Every illustration on this site is an original SVG diagram drawn for the page it appears on. We use no stock photography, no product screenshots and no vendor artwork, both because it would be a trademark and copyright problem on a commercially funded page and because a diagram explains more than a picture of a laptop does. The site uses your system’s own typefaces rather than a hosted web font, which is why it loads nothing from any other server.
